Perhaps Daehyun was foolish to think otherwise, but yes, from a normal person’s view, Byunghun did seem a little… weak. Granted, Thunder had always lectured him not to judge a book by its cover, much less a Force’s so he’d truly be foolish for doing so. But of course, Daehyun had other more important things to do than eye the lover of others. He tilted his head and waved his hands in a defensive manner. “I’m not looking at him like that, all right? It really was a compliment. You guys look good together.”

That remark was a lot more appealing to his ears than the other, but he wouldn’t sell himself short just yet. Reading minds came easy for the young man with his eyes piercing and glaring as the train of thought ran amok in the other’s head; he wouldn’t call it a hunch either because he could actually read people’s minds. The terms used seemed familiar to him, like the beings that haunted his sight every time he shut his eyes; the faces he saw every moment of the night, the same beings that stole his conscience - Byunghun knew better. His lips pursed, eyes narrowing as he lifted his head up a little higher to glower down at the unfamiliar face.

“As much as I’d like to question your motives, I won’t; it’s not my business, just make sure not to commit infidelity. You wouldn’t want to hurt that person’s feelings, would you?"

Why was everyone always targeting his height? He wasn’t half bad, 180 was desired by many, no? Was it because of his thin complexion? His seemingly weak arms, his small frame, or perhaps the way his aura reeked of docility? Either way, those who thought that were wrong; Byunghun was a far cry from being weak. “I’m not,” he gritted through his teeth. That did not mean that he really did commit treason, but Byunghun looked so upset, it made him sorry for the other. Chanhee shook his head, not because he didn’t love Byunghun anymore, but because he was denying again that he had done no such thing. “Whoever it was you saw me with, it didn’t mean anything. The one who occupies my heart is you and that will never change. I love you. Byunghun, you’re my only one, okay? So don’t think otherwise.”

His arms went around his boyfriend’s neck, fingers playing with the short locks of Byunghun’s hair as he leaned up to peck the other’s cheek. “Love me, too, all right? So please believe me.”

If Chanhee was truly telling him the truth, then who was it he had seen the man with earlier? Byunghun vaguely remembered the shape of the tall man with red eyes as dark as the blood moon and aura as tainted as the very demonic dragon himself. His eyebrows knitted in concentration as he lowered his arms around Chanhee’s thin waist. “Baby…” Had he seen wrong? Had his eyes betrayed him? But that couldn’t be, Byunghun was so sure. So, so sure. For someone who was the reincarnation of Justice, what he had seen couldn’t have fooled his eyes. It was real. Or was it a dream?

Or perhaps something that was bound to happen in the future? He could tell… sometimes, though not always accurate, his medium powers were limited in this world, however, he knew what he sees were the truth.

“I believe you and I’m sorry for doubting you; will you forgive me?” Nose nuzzling into the other’s neck as he inhaled and took in the scent of his beloved’s, Byunghun tightened his hold around Chanhee with a pitiful smile; he was so, so, so in love with his once upon a time, it was almost unbearable. “I love you, my once upon a time, I love you very much. More than you know…”

Chanhee hadn’t even gotten a chance to breathe when he was spun around to face his boyfriend, his angry boyfriend. He blinked in confusion, eyebrows raised, but shook off the tight grip around his wrists. What was going on? Last he checked, he’d been with his brother, but his boyfriend knew of his brother so unless Byunghun had mistaken him for another, then he had no idea what was going on. “Byung—hold on a sec, are you all right? Of course I’m not cheating on you! Why would you even say that? Were you talking about hyung? We were going out for lunch to catch up!”

Blinded by rage and pride, Byunghun’s fingers latched onto Chanhee’s wrist as he tugged the other close to him. His protective streak wasn’t anyone’s friend, but perhaps their enemy, even to Chanhee, however, Byunghun wouldn’t hurt his dearly beloved for no apparent reason; this was good enough of a reason for him, though: he’d seen arms around his lover, arms that belonged not to him; treacherous fingers playing around the shoulders of his once upon a time. Byunghun ran his fingertip along Chanhee’s cheek before stopping under the chin; he lift it until their gaze met, his own piercing into the other’s deep mahogany irises.

“I saw you…” he whispered with hurt reflecting in his eyes. “Don’t lie to me. Please tell me you still love me.”
